Pablo PICASSO
Nature Morte au Compotier

The paint had blistered away from the tops of the paint in the dark areas ruining the coherence of the picture. Picasso had probably used too much medium in the dark colours. The areas where white had been mixed were unaffected. The painting had not been varnished

Process
I removed a layer of surface dirt from the painting and then very carefully matched the colours of the missing paint in the dark areas and retouched the lost paint.
I did not varnish the painting as Picasso had obviously not wanted a glossy effect
